As part of the Rescue Helicopter relocation, Medi-Flight Taranaki will be fundraising to modify the current hangar and build accommodation facilities for the helicopter flight crew.
The Taranaki Rescue Helicopter is on standby 24 hours a day in case of a callout, and that means a trained flight crew of three must remain on-site all times, ready to respond.
The hangar modifications will include a 120m² accommodation block capable of hosting our flight crew when they aren’t in the air.

We’ve set an $800,000 fundraising goal for the modification to our aircraft hangar, and thanks to a generous bequest left for the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust by Meryle and Derek Roberts, we’re well on our way towards reaching that goal.
Our new accommodation wing will be named in memory of the Roberts’ family.
While we're well on our way towards reaching our goal, we still need your support to make this happen. Please donate today!
