Hello and kia ora,
Firstly, I wanted to thank you for your ongoing support for the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust and the Taranaki Air Ambulance Trust. Without people like you, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do, and we’re immensely proud of the work we’ve done serving our community and our region.
Its my pleasure to announce that the two trusts have merged to form Medi-Flight Taranaki, responsible for all air medical services in the Taranaki region.

By merging, we have a fantastic chance to pool our resources, streamline our operations and ensure better access to community and public funding. We will always be guided by our ethos of providing world-class patient care in the air, and that will not change.
Our supporters may have strong ties to one or both charities – if there’s one thing we know, it’s that roots run deep here in Taranaki, and both the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter and Taranaki Air Ambulance have always been able to count on fantastic local support.
It may be a new look, but we’re still the same friendly faces ready to leap into action in the event of a rescue, medical emergency or patient transfer.
The Medi-Flight Taranaki board will be made up of members of the two trusts: Evan Cottam (Chair), Christina Houghton (Deputy Chair), Brendan Attrill, Andy Cronin, Peter Hilliam, Darrin Muggeridge, Greg Whitham.
Thank you and we hope to count on your ongoing support now and in the future.
Kind regards,
Evan Cottam
Medi-Flight Taranaki Charitable Trust Board Chair
